In need of a pick me up!

Today is the day after spring fling here at school. Basically its going to be hangovers galore among the students. I'm on that bandwagon right along with them. Before I go and get some delicious eggs and bacon, I decided I needed a little pick me up in the form of online browsing! After an hour or so of perusing the Forever 21 new arrivals, I've come up with a few select items that caught my eye. I'll start with the shirt that started this little tangent.
I saw this and I instantly wanted it. Not only because its cute, but because next year it will be true. My best friend since 5th grade will be studying abroad next year in Paris (Extremely jealous!). Her and I traveled there, along with several other places in Europe, right after we graduated from high school. It was one of our favorite places and we vowed to go back, and that lucky duck gets to live there! I always love clothes that have a story to go along with them, whether its hand-me-downs, or clothes with significant meaning.

Now onto the next shirt! This one has the design of the shirts I mentioned in an earlier entry, the cut out shoulder look. This shirt also has somewhat of a relevance as well, but not as deep and symbolic as the Paris tank.

One thing people who know me well can say is that I love to dance. Now don't get me wrong I'm not a good dancer, like the ones you see breaking it down on the dance floor in music videos. I just love to move to the beat, and don't really care if I make a fool out of myself. Its just one of those things in life you have to learn to enjoy! Plus just recently my sorority volunteered at an ARCh social. ARCh is a  program for adults with mental disabilities. The social we volunteered at was a dance, and it was a blast. I was breaking it down on the dance floor with some awesome people, and it was the best feeling knowing that they were so carefree, and that I myself could be carefree and just let loose for a night. I would buy and wear this shirt in honor of that feeling.

Speaking of my sorority, I found this cute blazer that I could wear to my sorority meetings. We have a chapter meeting once a week, and we have to dress in business casual attire. Its always nice to have a new article of clothing to wear to meetings to spruce up my dull wardrobe.

Plus I think it would be cute with a pair of jeans or jean shorts as well!

This next pick is a cute outfit for going out. My 21st Birthday is coming up, and this would be something I would wear if I were going clubbing. I love the one shoulder aspect, but its not solid so it doesn't make your body look uneven. This is helpful for me, because one of my shoulders is lower than the other, and the one shoulder shirts can emphasize that.
I'm going to end this entry with a piece of jewelry that I saw in the store and fell in love with, but I was on a budget and was not able to add it to my collection just yet. I still love it, and I have every intention of going back and buying it.

I cannot describe how deep of a relevance this necklace has to my life! This isn't an online journal, so I won't bore you with too many of my life stories, just know that this necklace would be more to me than just another piece of jewelry.

I'm HUNGRY, so its time to go get some grub. I'm a team captain for the relay for life event tonight, so I should probably try and fit a nap in. Its also a good friend of mine's birthday dinner tonight, so I have to try and figure that one out. Ahh.... the daily stresses of life, but that's what makes it worth living right?

I'll leave you with this thought to ponder today.
Have a good day, and try to do something nice for someone today!

Hello Hotness!

Well its more like hello (temporarily) hot weather! I'm in a summer mood, and therefore have been perusing the summer clothes that are out and about. I stuck with Forever 21 because I'm broke as a joke. In honor of the amazing formal I went to last night, I found this jazzy owl shirt, classy just like all the chios I know.

Its not just any owl, its got a beret and has "hello" in french on it. Its completely fitting considering formal was "Tour de la Terre" (around the world) themed.
Pair that with shorts, and these bangles and your outfit is complete! Its simple and cute, but that's how it should be!

Alright I'll move onto some shirts I've been scoping out. I really like the shirts with cutout shoulders. Its an easy way to show some skin without looking trashy, and lets be real clothes like that should be a staple in every gal's wardrobe. Below I'll post the two that I like the most.
I like the color and the length of the shirt. Some of the shirts like this that Forever 21 has posted look a little short in the torso, at least for me. This shirt is more casual, the next one is if you want to dress up a little bit more, or show off a little more of your shoulder (and if you have nice shoulders, then don't be afraid to flaunt them!)

I don't know how I feel about the white, but the pattern makes up for it. The nice thing about this one is that its more of a tunic so you can wear leggings with it if you want. This leads us to my next items to covet... DRESSES.

I'm a big fan of summer dresses. They are so much more comfortable than shorts and easier when it comes to styling yourself for the day. I have been a fan of long dresses for a long time, and patterned long dresses as well. I happen to be a little picky when it comes to patterns though. Unless it jumps out at me as something I would look cute wearing (and not look like a fool) then I consider it. This first dress has a pattern that I think is okay, but the back on it is so cute that I'd make the exception to my pattern rule.

It seems a little short in the back, so I'd probably wear leggings. I was generously endowed with a backside, so dresses that are short on people without junk in the trunk are generally WAY too short to be decent on me.
This dress on the other hand I would not have that issue! I love the front of this dress, and that its a long dress. I have a short one from American Eagle with a similar design, but I'm a sucker for long dresses and wouldn't mind having this in my closet right alongside next to the shorter version of it.

Well it seems that concludes the end of my warm weather inspired blog. It also looks like the warm weather will be coming to the end as well, we're in for thunderstorms and potentially a tornado. It was fun while it lasted, and a good preview for what this summer will be like. Time for me to soak in as much Vitamin D as I can before the clouds come rolling in!

So I've decided to write another Blog, or would it be called an entry? I don't know. Anyways, I have a crap ton of homework to do, and can not focus for the life of me so I'm just going to go with the flow and let myself get distracted.

Today I ended up working out with a few friends, and I'm inspired to look at workout clothes. My all time favorite workout type article of clothing would be the yoga pants from Victoria's Secret. They are super comfy and you look cute while working out, which lets be real is kind of hard to do. They have tons of different variations of their yoga pants, but the one's I'm coveting the most are the cropped yoga pants.
I've always felt iffy about these because I'd feel like a knob wearing these and tennis shoes, especially since my tennis shoes are old as dirt and kinda clunky. A lot of the girls in my sorority wear these out and about, and they've grown on me... A LOT. Once I have the spending money I'm going to invest in a pair.

Another option that I've seen out there is from Forever 21, and they're much more affordable. I can't say whether they wear the same since I don't own a pair myself, but from the minute or so I had a pair on in the dressing room, they didn't feel very different.

They don't look the same but I'm sure they're just as comfortable.

So now onto the footwear section of this. As mentioned before, I have old tennis shoes. I also have a pair of Skecher's Shape Ups, and I will swear up and down that they work! I've only worn them as work shoes (might as well get paid to work out) but have not worn them in a while. They look a little awkward, but the newer versions are attempting to look more like the average tennis shoe.

While they definitely do work, many people are turned off by the look of them. I'll admit that even I think they look a little weird, but luckily my work pants covered them. The Reebok Easytone is the answer to the awkward clunkiness of the shape ups. The website also allows you to customize the shoes so that you can design what you want the shoes to look like. I think that is pretty great, and if that had been available back when I bought my Shape Ups, I would've opted for that choice.

Alright, well that's all I've got for now. Maybe I should get back to this paper I have to write..... or go to sleep.....probably the latter.

There's a first time for everything...

So this is my attempt at blogging, hopefully it goes well. If not, at least I gave it a shot right? My hopes for this is to maybe post some of my online shopping findings. This includes outfits I find online that I want or have, some great deals I've found, some outfits others have worn, and anything else I feel like putting on here. It will make me feel less guilty about my online shopping habits.

First of all I have formal coming up for my sorority, and for those who don't know what formal is, its the college equivalent of a homecoming type dance. I got this awesome dress in the coral color,

I like it because it's bright and vibrant, it fits great, and it was really cheap. Since the dress itself is very bright, I'm thinking the accessories should stick to black, like the accent belt. I was looking at getting either this lacy pair

Or this jazzy pair of shoes with the accent on the back of the shoe. I'm thinking the first pair of shoes because I would love to get a set of lace gloves to wear with the dress. The lace accents would match. I think some lace hair decorations would look pretty snazzy too.

A black layered necklace, with a set of black dangling earrings.

I feel like it might be a little much, So I'll just add pieces as I go and then stop when I feel like the accessories are overpowering the dress.

Alright, well that's all I've got for now. I'll leave on a good note. Ever hear the song "Peacock" by Katy Perry? Well when I saw these, the earrings that song popped into my head.
